Thangaraja’s Dominant Performance Stuns Rivals on Day One of the Golf Championship!
Concluding the first round of the three-day E-Wis Golf Championship held at the Victoria Golf Course in Digana, Kandy, powerhouse player N. Thangaraja showcased a brilliant performance, scoring 65 to comfortably claim the top spot in the tournament.
By scoring a 65, N. Thangaraja has built a commanding 6-stroke lead over the rest of the field, putting immense pressure on his competitors.
Day 1 Leaderboard Highlights:
- Chalitha Pushpika is currently in second place with a score of 71, facing a massive uphill challenge to catch the leader.
- Anura Rohana, Priya Hemantha, and Chanaka Perera are tied for third place, scoring 73 each.
- Lalith Kumara, N. Amarapadma, and Mithun Perera are facing a tough battle, finishing the day with scores of 74 and 75 respectively.
Organized by the Professional Golf Tour of Sri Lanka (PGTSL), this tournament runs from July 7th to 9th, with TTV Media serving as the official media partner. Following Thangaraja’s explosive start, the rest of the players will have to play under intense pressure over the next two days.
